1. Documenting real emotion
Capturing real and raw emotion on a wedding day is really important to me. Its those unfiltered moments; the grooms reaction as his bride walks down the aisle, the tearful embrace of a loved one, the laughter shared between best friends, and those 'wow...we just got married' moments when you can't help but smile.
These genuine expressions tell your story. I feel so lucky that my couples have trusted me to preserve these raw and heartfelt moments. I don't think I will ever get over how special my job is!
2. Morning preparations
I really enjoy photographing the morning prep stage. Most people would think that this is the most chaotic part of the day but I find its the most relaxing. The bride is being pampered, music is playing, stories being shared between best friends and Prosecco is being sipped..
I also get to take those beautiful close ups of the flowers, rings, wedding stationary too which I love!
3. Every Wedding is Unique
Every wedding is always beautifully unique and reflects the personalities of my couples. No two celebrations are ever the same.
I love capturing the personal touches, the hand crafted decorations such as this gorgeous crocheted bridal bouquet.
As well as unexpected moments, like a loved one who travelled half way across the world to surprise the bride and groom!
4. Party time!
I love capturing the first dance and the moment when everyone is welcomed onto the dance floor! At this point everyone has relaxed and ready to celebrate. It is so much fun photographing everyones awesome dance moves and having the best time!
5. When I receive the 'we love them!' message
Receiving those messages after I deliver your gallery saying that you love your photos, means so much to me! I have also had multiple couples come back to me to capture other milestones in their lives which honestly brings me so much joy and gratitude!
